BOOKING.

When booking your tattoo we always ask that you research our artists, look through their work and their preferred styles. Once you have decided on your artists, contact them directly on their personal accounts (most of our artists prefer Instagram or Email).

Due to the large amount of enquires our artists receive, please be sure to include the following information to speed up the booking process:

Tattoo description, including any images you may have found.

Tattoo location (please include photos if a cover up is involved.)

Tattoo style, colours etc.

Tattoo size, as close as you can estimate in cm.

When you was hoping to book in for.

Any other information you think may be useful to us.

Please note, when booking an appointment a booking fee will apply, this fee will be deducted from the final price of the tattoo. Although this fee is non-refundable, if given 72 hours notice, the fee may be transferred to a new date when needing to reschedule an appointment for the first time.

If you don't receive a reply within a few days, we aren't ignoring you, we just may have missed your message, we are only human, just wait and give us a friendly reminder, we don't mind.

BEFORE.

So here's a few do's and don'ts when getting ready for your tattoo appointment:

DO:

Have a shower with soap, this helps prepare the area and stops you being 'that customer that smells'

Stay out of the sun in the summer months, if your chosen area is sunburned, your appointment will be cancelled and your booking fee will be lost.

Check if your artist would like cash or bank transfer and make sure you have the money ready for the appointment.

Make sure your diary is clear all day, and maybe even the day after. Your body is going to want to recover.

DON'T:

Consume alcohol or aspirin within 24 hours before your appointment as this will thin your blood.

Decide last minute to change your design, placement etc.

Wear fake tan on the area you wish to have tattooed.

Shave the area, we will take care of that for you on the day of your appointment.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask your artist.

DURING.

When tattoo day comes around we simply ask that you turn up on time.

We advise making sure you've had something to eat before your appointment, and here's a few other things we recommend bringing with you to make sure you're as comfortable as possible:

Photo I.D if you look under 25.

Doctors note if you take regular medication that could affect either the tattooing itself your healing process

Dinner, or money for Dinner, if you're in for a long session. We have plenty of places nearby to get food including a morrisons just around the corner.

A sugary drink or sugary sweets, this will help once the tattoo starts.

Wear comfortable clothes allowing easy access to the area you wish to have tattooed.

earphones and music for entertainment.

Feel free to bring a friend for support but please ask before as the studio can get quite busy.

Any questions feel free to ask your artist.

AFTER.

(If you're using a second skin, please skip to stage 2)

1. Its now a few hours after your appointment and your dressing is looking a little nasty, take it off give it a clean with just warm water and your hand over the sink or bath, let it air dry for 10 minutes or so and pop some fresh dressing on for the night (don't worry about creams etc for now).

You're gunna wanna repeat this about 3 times a day for the next 3 days or so.
(Don't worry, the nasty looking stuff in the clingfilm/pad won't hurt your tattoo as long as you do not let it dry on)

2. So it should now be 3-4 days after your appointment and you've realise your dressing isn't looking so nasty anymore! Which means you're onto the next step of healing! Lucky for you this step is very simple, you're just going to clean it with natural, unscented soap, and apply a thin layer of aftercare cream.
I recommend the Butterluxe aftercare we sell in the shop or available on their own website www.butterluxeaftercare.co.uk
, but failing that, Palmers cocoa butter or pure coconut oil will do the job.

If you're using second skin, the best way to remove it is in the shower, slowly remove the film from the top, let it fill up with warm water and slowly peel off the rest, throw it away, give the tattoo a good clean off and you're good to go.

Make sure to wear loose, none irritating clothing around the tattooed area (stiff jeans, itchy jumpers etc).
Make sure not to get any soaps or cosmetic products in the tattoo.
Do not soak the tattoo in the bath.
If light scabbing does occur please do not pick at it this will ruin the tattoo completely.

3. Well it's a week or so later and your tattoo is looking abit 'silvery' and beginning to flake, this is great, your tattoo is almost complete, just gotta keep putting that cream on in thin layers and let the skin flake naturally, easy right!

Any Questions, do not hesitate to message your artist directly.

Any and all things listed above could be grounds for cancellation and loss of booking fee so please read carefully.
Any disregard for our advise is at your own risk.
